Can Projects/Tasks be exported or saved to a disk file?

M

I would like to create a backup (even just as a 'plain text' disk file) of all Projects and Tasks, so that I can have them available to refer to even when I'm offline, unable to access todoist.com, or for other reasons or situations.

I also prefer to have these in electronic form -- that is, as a 'disk file,' not just as hard copy (printouts).

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

Hello Michael,

thanks to the HTML5 offline storage technology we use on Todoist, you can access your tasks even if you're online. In the web app, you'll need to access Todoist through this URL: http://todoist.com/app?v=62 however, the version number (62) may and will change in the future, therefore, the other alternative would be to use the mobile site http://todoist.com/m which can be accessed through any HTML compatible browser (not just mobile browsers).

Once you access it when online, you'll be able to use this site anytime even if you're offline through the same browser as all your data will be stored within your browser's cache.

Best regards,
David

Thanks. Regarding having a backup that preserves data independently of todoist.com, is there any provision for that
-- i.e., an equivalent to Google Takeout?

> you can access your tasks even if you're online

You meant "offline," I assume.

Michael,

yes, I meant offline, sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, there is no other option to preserve your data other than in the browser cache, but we will certainly consider adding such feature in the future.

Best regards,
David

Thanks, that will be appreciated.
