Two questions re Daily Digest email

CD

I'm wondering if it's possible to receive my Daily Digest earlier in the morning. I have two Todoist accounts at the moment (one is a "test" account I was asked to set up by your support team). The Daily Digest email for my regular account arrives at 7:45 AM; the email for my test account arrives around 8:15 AM. Neither of these times is early enough for me (6:00 AM would be ideal).

Also, is there any chance the Daily Digest could be a simpler looking overview without so much detail? I don't need to have my overdue items separated by how many days each item is overdue (I can log in if I need that much info). A simpler breakdown such as a "Today" section, followed by an "Overdue" section would be much more preferable for me.

Hello Cliff,

thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to set a specific time for the Daily Digest. The only option would be to change the timezone of your Todoist account by 2 hours further. However, this would affect all your tasks and their dates/times.

We may consider implementing some options for customization of the Daily Digest, though. You're welcome to add a suggestion/request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Best regards,
David

Thanks David. Since I'm already at work by 7:45, the Daily Digest doesn't serve any purpose for me. How to I opt out of receiving it?

Cliff,

you can unsubscribe from the Daily Digest using the link at the bottom of each such message.

When I opted to unsubscribe from receiving the Daily Digest emails, the following message came up: "You have been successfully removed from this subscriber list. You will no longer hear from us. Did you unsubscribe by accident? Click here to re-subscribe."

"You will no longer hear from us" sounded pretty ominous, so I re-subscribed! Is it safe to assume that I will only be unsubscribed from the Daily Digests, and not other communications (e.g. votebox updates, etc.) from Todoist?

Cliff,

this option will only unsubscribe you from the Daily Digest. In order to unsubscribe from the updates in the support section and the Votebox, you'd need to use a different link in these emails and there's also a third link in newsletters or announcements about promotions which you could opt-out of separately.

You can also re-subscribe anytime by using the same unsubscription link, but then choosing "Did you unsubscribe by accident?" which will put you back on the mailing list.

Best regards,
David

Out of curiosity, what is the rationale for not sending out the daily digest earlier in the day? Assuming all users receive the digest somewhere between 7:45 AM and 8:15 AM (that's when mine used to arrive, depending on the account) I can't imagine anyone complaining because the digest arrived in their inbox between midnight and 6:00 AM, since there doesn't seem to be a downside to receiving it earlier vs later in the morning. Rather than going to the trouble of trying to create customizable delivery times, why not send the digest out a couple of hours earlier for everyone?

Cliff,

thank you for adding your request to the Votebox, we may consider changing the time of sending our Daily Digest. So far we haven't had any requests for changing this time and we will surely consider it depending on the demand for such change.

Best regards,
David

Just hear to say please send the digest at 7AM or 6AM. Or let me select when. THanks.
