How can I get my items back?

When I logged in today all of my tasks are gone. I can see that there are tasks in each category (by the number on the side) but when I click in that category nothing comes up. It also says I have no tasks due today even though I know that I have 3-4 due today. Can I retrieve these somehow or are they lost for good?

Hello Megan,

none of your tasks are lost, this is a caching issue that we're experiencing lately and we're working on it right now. It can usually be fixed by logging out and back in and if this won't help, clearing your browser's cache and offline storage data.

Also, we would greatly appreciate if you could help us identify the source of this bug by providing the following information:
- Which browser are you using?
- are you accessing Todoist directly through http://todoist.com or through a bookmark pointing to a different address?
- Are you using any plugins in your browser? If so - which ones?

To answer your questions - I am using Firefox. I go directly to http://todoist.com. I dont know what plugins are. Logging out and back in did not fix the problem so I cleared my browser's cache and it still did not fix the problem. After clearing I logged out and logged in - then the problem was fixed. Hope this helps.

Megan,

thank you for this information. Plugins, sometimes called add-ons or add-ins are small programs installed within your browser. These can be ad-blockers, script-blockers or other useful tools. If you haven't installed any, then this information won't be necessary.

As for the browser you're using, could you please check which version it is? You can find this information in the "Help" -> "About" page. It should be 14.0.1

Yes you are correct it is 14.0.1. It is possible that I have plugins but I cannot recall at this point.

I also had this problem with Chrome. I use version 21.0.1180.75 m.
I refreshed todoist a few times and it did not work. I then (after reading this thread) logged out and in and everything was fine. I have to add that I connect directly to todoist.com and do not use any plug-ins.
