tips for getting started on todoist between dif devices / downloads

RS

I work from multiple macs between home and work (os 10.6 - 10.7) and also have an iphone 4. Firefox is my browser and i use yahoo for email.

1) which plug-ins should I download? any order? best place to start my lists?

2) which videos/ how-to's for getting started? I've watched a few that show the general functions of Todo-ist but not so much nuts and bolts (how to check off lists/ how to update between devices)

3) integration
mac address book? best program for integrating w/ contacts?
w/ ical?
yahoo?

Thank you!

Hello Rachel,

if Firefox is your main browser, we'd recommend you install the Firefox plugin: http://todoist.com/firefox For your iPhone, you could get our current iOS app: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/todoist/id476672770 (we'll soon release a new improved version) or access your tasks through the mobile site: http://todoist.com/m

To find out about all features Todoist has to offer (keyboard shortcuts, text formatting etc.) please refer to our help pages. You can access them by clicking on the question mark in the top-right corner. Furthermore, we have a collection of videos showing how these features work on our YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/IstProductivity

As for the calendar integration, unfortunately, we can't recommend any specific application, but pretty much any calendar software should accept the iCal standard incl. Mac's own iCalendar.

As for Yahoo - unfortunately, we don't offer an integration with Yahoo right now. However, you could import your Yahoo messages to GMail and use GMail as your default email client in which case you'd be able to add emails as tasks (see: "How to manage your Inbox" on YouTube) using any of our browser plugins - for Firefox, Chrome or Todoist Anywhere for any other browser.

There are numerous tutorials on how to import your Yahoo messages to GMail, for example:
