Lately my overdue tasks (of many days ago) are out of order.

In my home, I have a query like "od, 7 days".

I usually have some overdue tasks. They used to be sorted as follows:

...until 7 days from now
... other more overdue tasks.

Since a few days ago they're being sorted in a seemingly random way (the tasks that are overdue). I even sometimes see two different tasks under separate sections that have the SAME name (e.g. I'll have TWO sections called "2 days ago" with different tasks).

This is very annoying. Please fix? :)

I'm having sorting issues on every day. My tasks due on the same day or same project aren't sorted by priority, the prioriites are random in the list. Also the baloon to add Notes keeps disappearing. Also the Settings asterisk at the end of the line of text to assign priorities is missing. I can click in the area where they used to be and it works but it's really annoying.

Hello Mike,

the reordering issue should not affect the display of the icons. Please log out of Todoist, clear your browser's cache and offline storage, reload your browser and log back in directly through https://todoist.com (not through a bookmark).

Also, please note that it's also possible to access the task menu by right-clicking on a task.

Not sure if you're tracking that everyone has this issue, or just some. I have the random sorting for overdue tasks, and have had it for a while now. Usually, odd little things like this are handled by you guys so soon it's not worth reporting.

One of the things that I love MOST about Todoist is that it is very simple. I really hope that you are not about to load it all up with kinds of clever features. There are lots of task-management sites that already do that -- if I wanted to play with a web app instead of getting things done, I would use any other task management app. Please keep things very simple. If you really, really want to make something clever and feature-full, then make another, different app/website, please.

simplicity, clean design and ease of use always were and always be the key elements of Todoist. We're glad you appreciate it :)

As for the sorting issue, unfortunately, this turns out to be a quite complex problem which we are still working on. It seems that it doesn't even occur in all browsers. In Chrome, for example, you should see all your overdue tasks sorted properly.

We're very sorry for the delay, but this problem is more advanced than we thought when we've tried to fix it at first, but rest assured, we will fix it.

I am seeing the problem in Chrome... :(
Specifically, Version 21.0.1180.57

FWIW, I always see this problem in IE8 (I'm locked down at work, can't upgrade) on Windows Server 2003 (also not upgradable). Todoist doesn't work at all on my IE8 on Windows XP Pro at work.

At home, my IE9 works great.

Todoist should work on IE 8 on WIndows XP. Please make sure that it's accepting cookies or try to add todoist.com on the list of trusted sites. Try to lower the security settings to "medium-high" and privacy settings to medium (if possible).

Clearing the todoist.com cookie got it functional again, although it still shows unsorted overdue tasks. Thanks!
