Todoist outlook panel is blank
I installed the two MS upgrades, and the add-in. The add-in is authorized in the trust center. When I go to the Add-Ins menu on the toolbar and click "Todoist" an check-mark appears next to the button and a panel opens up to the right of whatever I am working on in Outlook. This panel is, however, completely blank (other than the work "Todoist" in the grey bar at the top.
please open Internet Explorer and go to Internet Options. On the "Privacy" tab, click "Advanced", check "Override automatic cookie handling" and set both first- and third-party cookies to "Allow".
If this won't help, in the "Security" tab, set the level to medium-high and add todoist.com on the "Trusted sites" list and do NOT check the "Require server verification for sites on this list" box at the bottom of the list.
If this won't help either, delete browsing history on the "General" tab.
What does this have to do with Outlook?
the Todoist for Outlook plugin is a frame using Internet Explorer to connect to Todoist. Any connection issues with the plugin are most likely caused by Internet Explorer's settings.
Hello, I did all the above and then got a pop up saying Outlook todoist ADX has fired an exception. Please assist. Thanks Brad
This is the other issue we are having with the plugin. If the above instructions do not help with this, also make sure that IE is updated to the latest version.
We are going to release a major update soon (a week or so) that will address this and all issues.
I'm having this same exact issue. It started with what another user posted here, where I got a message saying outlooktodoistADX has fired an exception. It came up several times and I kept dismissing it and then I decided to restart Outlook. When I restarted Outlook, it came up with the blank panel for Todoist.
I tried everything you suggested above, and none of it worked. I also tried to re-install the Outlook add-in altogether.
I rely heavily on the Todoist plugin to tag emails that I need to follow up on at work, so I hope this will be addressed very very soon. The integration with Outlook is one of the main reasons I chose Outlook over other to-do systems.
Actually, as a last step, I decided to try to install a previous version of the plugin as you had suggested in this thread from last year: http://todoist.com/Support/show/25353/
The old version (https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/354a36dcf40f6dd891fafdb6d2b97716/as/OutlookTodoist.exe) is working, so I'm just going to hang on to this one for a while. A couple other things I've noticed in the latest version are:
- Links to emails don't seem to work if you move the email after creating the task. For example, if I add an email to Todoist, then move it to my archived folder in Outlook, and then click the email link in Todoist, nothing happens. This had happened on a previous version of the plugin last year but was fixed.
- The tasks don't update day-to-day if you leave Outlook open overnight. I had noticed this with the Android widget as well, where I'd wake up the next morning, and everything that should be due "today" was still due "tomorrow" and I had the message that said all my tasks were done for the day. This used to work in Outlook, but then stopped working, I think when the newest plugin version was released. I often leave my Outlook open on my computer for weeks at a time.
Also, just one note, I hope Todoist plans to continue support on previous versions of IE. I know many companies have many reasons for not letting their users install the most recent versions. I have stayed behind in my version of IE at work for many reasons, and updating to the latest version isn't always easy.

Thanks and there is an issue where I need to re-enable the oultook plugin for TD each time I start outlook 2010. Only then will it's panel appear.
