I just tried the new off-line feature on my Kindle Fire. I guess I am doing something wrong.
I took the fire off-line nad tried to get into the program. It would not let me as it gave the same message as before; that I was not connected to the internet. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I have tried all of the above and nothing seems to work. Could be I am still doing something wrong or maybe the kindle fire's browser is not compatible with HTML5.

Hi:I am only trying the off line version on my Kindle Fire which is the only place I need off line. Not sure what they call their browser but the system version is 6.3.1. When I do disconnect from wifi and try to just bring up the page I get the message about going to off line and while it appears to be trying to do something nothing comes up. If iI bring up the page while connected and then disconnect I can stay on the page and add a task however it does not show under the project whenn I switch to projrct view. If I recoondct it sll seems to syn. fine. Hope that helps. And thanks for you smazing support.
Bernard,please note that in order to use our app offline, you must access it at least once online to download the necessary data to your browser.Also, it is advised that for now, you should use the mobile site: http://todoist.com/m if you want to access your tasks while already being offline.As for the task adding issue. There seems to be a glitch with the "Quick Add" option on the web-app, we are working on fixing it right now. For now, try to either add tasks using the regular "Add task" link at the bottom of your task list (from within a project) on the web app or use the mobile app.Best regards,David
Sorry to be ignorant here ... but I am having the same problem. I came here looking for help but I still don't get it. How can I access the site you reference above if I am offline? When my Kindle is offline, I can't access ToDoist at all. What am I doing wrong here?
I have found two things that help. use the mobile version of ToDoIst while you are on-line. Then try using the offline version. Alsdo, try deleting your cache. I found that once I did that it worked fine. And you may have to do it on a regular basis. hope that helps.
Bernard, thanks for the quick response. Neither suggestion seems to make a difference to my Kindle but you mention an offline version. Is there a different app for working offline?

Oh! There is also a third problem interspersed with the others. When I try to enter todoist.com/m, I get a message telling me there is no internet connection. "A Wi-Fi network connection is required to complete this task. Please connect to a Wi-Fi network."
Kate,the last message you see (about being offline) most likely shows up because our app and your tasks haven't been synchronized through this site. You must be online for the first time when you access it, log in and synchronize.As for the logging issues, please tell me - do you have a password set at Todoist or are logging in using your Google Account (in which case, you'll need to set a different password by going to the Todoist web-app -> Preferences (gear icon in the upper-right corner) -> Account.If that's not the case, please go to this site: http://html5test.com/ and let me know how many points your mobile browser scores:- in total,- in the "Web applications" section and- in the "Storage" section.Best regards,David
Hi David - We might be onto something here. I have been logging in with Google. So I went to Preferences -> Account but I don't see where I can create a new account. There is an option for creating a new API token. Is that what I should do?Thanks!Kate

Kate,the API token is for developers wanting to create applications using our API.You don't need to create a new Todoist account, only set a password for your existing account (you will still be able to log in using your Google Account through the web-app, but the mobile site will require the use of the new password).To set a password, please go to Preferences -> Account and click on the "Edit" link next to "Password" it's the third link in the "Your information" section (that's above the API token). Once you set a password, use it on the mobile site (type your GMail address and the newly created password).Best regards,David
Kate,as for the score - please tell me - how many points did it get in the "Web applications" and "Storage" sections (scroll down to see this information)?If it didn't get a full score, it's indeed possible that it may be incompatible with sites using the new HTML5 technology, but if you have an option to install a different web-browser on it, please try to do so. Hi David - In Web applications = 19/20 ("no" in the custom search providers category)In Storage = 15/20 ("no" in IndexedDB)It doesn't appear that installing a new browser is an option.ToDoist is perfect for my needs except for this offline/synch glitch. Hi David - Yes, I changed my password. Both HTTP and HTTPS behave the same way. Using Kindle, I signed on using my new password and everything synched. I then turned the WiFi off and tried to use ToDoist through the app and through the online site. Neither work. The app tells me I have no tasks for today (which isn't true). Attempts to sign onto either HTTP or HTTPS tells me "No Internet Connection. A Wi-Fi network connection is required to complete this task. Please connect to a Wi-Fi network."Thanks,Kate
Kate,unfortunately, it seems that your browser may indeed be not fully compatible with HTML5 offline work. You could try to check your browser's settings if there isn't an option somewhere enabling offline data storage, otherwise, we're sorry for the inconvenience, but you may need to be online to use Todoist on this device.Best regards,David

I was having some problems with the HTML5 on my Kindle, but all seems fine now. My test got the same low results, but once I use the mobile app on line the off line seems to work fine. deleting the cahe has helped when I have run into problems.
