2 versions of todoist - what to do?

NM

I have the todoist app open on my imac and a browser version open on my laptop.

On my imac II noticed that my MAIN project was missing, Probing around I discovered it indented one level under a minor project. I corrected that but it is missing about 75% of its tasks

I went to my laptop where it is still a subproject and all the tasks are there

I don't know which is the "real" version, if I close the todoist app will my laptop browser version get updated and will i lose the tasks?

There is no way I deleted all those tasks without realizing it, so is this just a display issue?

I have been developing this project for years; it has many subprojects and tasks and it would take hours to manually archive this data
What do I do?

thanks
nina

Hello Nina,

if you haven't used the "Delete" option on a project/task, it will not be deleted. Most likely, your browser is reading some information from the cache and some from our servers and clearing the cache should solve this issue. Alternatively, try to access Todoist through a new browser that you haven't used with Todoist before.

When you update your task list, please always refresh the current view before you make any changes through a different device/app.

Best regards,
David

Thank you, it is there in a new browser.
:)))
If I am using the todoist app on my imac, how do i refresh it?
Only by closing it?
I tend to leave it open but then might need to access todoist from another computer

Nina,

please try to right-click within an empty space of the Mac App to see if there's a reload option.

Also, please note that you can access Todoist through a browser on the Mac as well (even if you're accessing it through another browser on your laptop).

Best regards,
David
