Differences in iPad app vs web app, cont'd

CD

When viewing an undated parent task which has several differently dated sub-tasks related to it...

- on the web app, when viewing under "7 days" for example, each day lists the various sub-tasks on their respective days (with no indents)

- on the iPad app, when viewing under "next 7 days" for example, the sub-tasks are randomly indented (e.g. the first two items listed under "tomorrow" might both be sub-tasks of the same parent task, yet in this view, one is indented under the other as if one was a sub-task of the other). In addition, there may be 6 items showing up under "tomorrow", 4 of which are all sub-tasks of the same parent task, yet they are separated by tasks from completely different projects. It appears as if the priority colour selected for each sub-task has something to do with the this, but even changing all of the related -sub-tasks to the same priority doesn't solve the problem: it simply changes the order into other random configurations and indentations.

Q: Why is this? The web app display makes sense, but the iPad app display of the identical information appears to make no sense at all.

Hello Cliff,

the display of sub-tasks on the iOS app does not include related tasks (parents of sub-tasks and vice-versa) and each item is displayed separately. The indent levels are purely informative to show that a certain task is a sub-task.

We are currently working on a new iOS app and we may change the display of the today/7day views. We've chosen to use the current solution due to space limitations on mobile devices and this app is compatible with both the iPhone and the iPad. We may release a separate app for the iPad in the future as well.

Best regards,
David
