Button to hide show Todoist pane in Outlook

HS

The real estate in Outlook is often limited when using several plugins in Outlook.

Most plugins have a button to show/hide their pane easily. Could you kindly add such a button to the Todoist button bar?

Hello Hans-Inge,

you can turn the panel on and off by clicking on the "Todoist" button in the Add-Ins tab (located in the "Menu Commands" section) in Outlook 2010.

In Outlook 2007, there's also a similar button on the Toolbar.

Best regards,
David

The only button (using Outlook 2007) I see is "Add to Todoist".

Should there be an additional button on this toolbar to show/hide the panel?

There is a command like I want in the "View" menu, but I can't find a way to put it on the toolbar.

Best regards,
Hans-Inge

Hans-Inge,

do you see a check-box next to the "Add to Todoist" button?

Also, if you close the plugin window using the "X" icon in the top-right corner of our plugin, does it re-open if you use the "Add to Todoist" button?

Best regards,
David

Hi!

No, there is no check-box nest to the "Add toTodoist" button.
The button is "alone".

If i close the pluging it will not open with the "Add to Todoist" button. (but yes, that would have been a good workaround).

The only way I see to open the plugin is to select it from the View menu (OL2007), which is what I want to avoid, and why I want the button.

Hans-Inge,

I have forwarded this issue to the developers and we will consider changing it in the next revision of the Outlook app.

For now, as a workaround, you could grab the Todoist plugin bar at the top (where the "Todoist" name is displayed) and drag it somewhere else, or use it in a small floating window.

Best regards,
David

I have the exact same problem. For me, I am using the latest version of outlook and there is no way to reopen the todoist bar if i close it (except restarting outlook). Please advise...

Hello Gaurav,

If you're using Outlook 2010 or later, you should see a "Add-ins" tab at the top and within it - 2 buttons:
- Todoist
- Add to Todoist

The first one can be used to toggle the pane on/off. Still, we will provide a better solution in the next updates of our Outlook plugin.

Best regards,
David
