Hello,

please tell me:
- Which timezone are you using in Todoist's preferences?
- If you add a new task with a specified due time (tomorrow at 15:00, for example), is the correct time being displayed in Todoist?
- What exact due date format are you using in the tasks in which you're experiencing this issue?

Best regards,
David

This is also happening to me, only in this case, all of my appointments are off by 5 hours (in the future). I made sure that my timezone is set correctly on the todoist website.

Hello Peter,

it would be very helpful in identifying this issue if you could please tell me:

Thanks for the quick reply, David.

1) Timezone is GMT -05:00 Eastern Time in Todoist.

2) I added a new task due today at 10:30am and the correct time is displayed in Todoist

3) When I create the task? I just typed "Today at 10:30am".

I'm guessing now, since everything looks OK in Todoist, perhaps it's something with my mail client (Novell GroupWise). I'll try plugging the webcal feed into google calender and see how it looks there.

It does seem to work in Google Calender, so it must be a GroupWise problem.

Hello,

1) Timezone is GMT+1 – Prague.
2) All items are displayed correctly in Todoist.
3) "today", "ev 2 days" – just dates, no specific time

In Google Calendar and also in my iCal on Mac I have todays to-dos on tomorrow…

Thank you.

Hello,

unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue.

Please try the following:
- In Todoist's Preferences, pick the GMT+1 timezone from the bottom of the list (without the city name).
- In Google Calendar's settings, make sure you've also selected the correct time zone.
- Unsubscribe from the Todoist iCal feed.
- Add a test task including a specific time (for example: tomorrow at 18:00).
- Re-add the feed.

Adding a specific timed task could help us identify and/or reproduce this issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hello,

We followed your instructions, new added task is on correct day and time in Gcal. But all our previsously added tasks and recurring tasks are still +1 day moved in GCal.

I have a similar problem I have changed the timezone without the City name but when I add a task to todoist its then been displayed 2 hours earlier to ical.

Additionally, is there a way that I can add the calendar to Outlook 2011?

Regards,
Greg

Hello,

please try to edit the old task displayed incorrectly and without making any changes, save it and let me know it this fixes the issue in GCal (note - it may be necessary to re-add the iCal feed to see the changes).

---

@Greg
Does these 2 hours earlier to iCal represent the correct time or are the iCal tasks added correctly, but in Todoist the time is incorrect?

As for Outlook 2011 - it should be possible to "Add a calendar from URL". Please also try to simply click on the calendar icon in the Todoist preferences (next to the iCal feed URL). You should see a popup window asking you which software would you prefer to handle this request and should see Outlook 2011 as an option.

Best regards,
David

Hello David,

unfortunately it didnt help.

I believe you can have a look at your database and compare our tasks in Todoist with exported ones to webcal format.

It is surely Todoist issue, please check it on your side, you know our account ID…

Thank you.

Hello,

please try to re-type one of the due dates within a task that's displayed incorrectly and then re-add the iCal feed.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but this would help us identify the issue which may be related to a specific time zone setting.

Also, access to Customer's task list is strictly prohibited and even after receiving a permission from a Customer, only very few people have an option to look at the database.

David

Hello,

when I create new task or change due date of old one, they appear in webcal on correct day. Unchanged tasks are still on day + 1.

Hello,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, but it seems that retyping the old tasks' due dates is the only option to fix this issue.

We will further investigate the cause of it, but for now, please use the standard "GMT+1" time zone instead of the "GMT+1 - Prague" option.

Again, thank you for reporting it and sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hello,

we're very sorry for the inconvenience, we will try to fix this issue as soon as possible so that such problems won't occur in the future.

You don't have to delete your tasks if re-saving them while trying to edit the due date also solves this issue.

David

Hello,

when we edited due date and resaved a task, nothing happened. So we deleted all "shifted" tasks and created them again. After re-adding webcal to Google Calendar and also iCal, the problem persists. I am sure that newly added tasks were loaded, because of renaming part of them.

Its already one week and this issue is very problematic for us…

Hello,

The same happens to me, even if I delete the task and re add the cal to ical the problem persists.

Thanks,

Another new user here. Liked the way the product organized things so well I upgraded to premium. Spent hours and hours putting stuff in only to have the same kinds of problems detailed here, only even buggier. So it will show a recurring appt. correctly 1 Sat., but all future Sats. are an hour off. It changes stuff after I put it in, both in todoist and in my ical. Things are moving randomly to different dates.... Do I need to ask for a refund and give up untold hours setting this crap up? This is a pretty giant bug...

This is still happening to me within GroupWise, only now some tasks (such are reoccurring ones) are working correctly, but newly added 1-time tasks are showing up at the wrong time on my GroupWise calender. The worst part is that I can't even predict it, since some are off by 5 hours and some are off by 8 -- it works no sense!
