Bug? Recurring task with subtask won't allow me to mark it done

PM

I have a task that is set to recur monthly. When I try to tick the box against this monthly task, it shows the busy symbol but never completes.

I am not having problems getting other tasks to mark completed, including recurring tasks. I have tried refreshing the page. I have tried ticking this box both on the 'today' page and also within the project where it exists, so I'm sure it's not a browser / connectivity issue. I have also been able to mark other tasks completed after I discovered this issue, so I don't have a wider problem marking tasks done.

What distinguishes this particular recurring task is that this month I gave it a subtask. That subtask is already marked as done. Is there a bug that means recurring tasks can't be marked complete if they have a subtask?

Hello Paul,

please tell me - what's the exact due date format you've used in this task? There seems to be an issue which accepts some unsupported date formats by the system, but causes this issue to appear.

It would be very helpful it you would post the date you've used as we would be able to identify this issue.

Note - only date formats lister here: https://todoist.com/Help/timeInsert are fully supported by Todoist.

Best regards,
David

Hello Paul,

this issue has been fixed. From now on, trying to add such due date as: "every 10th starting 10.feb.2012" will return an error message.

Thank you for reporting this issue and sorry for any inconvenience it might have caused you.

Best regards,
David
