I have a recurring task that won't clear

S

I created a task with the following: "every other wed starting 4.jan.2012"

I can't tick it off. Whenever I tick it, the spinning cursor simply spins forever over the box. If I reload, the task is still there (on the original date, not recurred to the next one).

I've deleted the task and recreated it, and tried it with different dates (falling on the same repeating Wednesday). Same problem.

Hello Swil,

unfortunately, this date format is not supported by Todoist. Please use only the formats found on this list: http://todoist.com/Help/timeInsert

In order to set up a recurring task due every other Wednesday starting on Jan, 4th, please use the following format:

ev 14 days starting 4. jan 2012

Note - a "starting" date should always be defined in this format - day followed by a dot, space, month, space and, if it should start in the past, the appropriate year (otherwise it would start on Jan, 4th 2013 by default).

Best regards,
David

Thanks David, that works!

Could you add in some kind of error message to say when formulas like that are wrong? Because Todoist hadn't complained I assumed I had it right and something was just broken...

Swil,

I have forwarded this issue to the developers and it will be addressed in future updates so that such date will return an "Invalid date" error message.

Thank you for your report and sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hello Swil,

this issue has been fixed. From now on, trying to add such due date as: "every other wed starting 4.jan.2012" will return an error message.

Thank you for reporting this issue and sorry for any inconvenience it might have caused you.

Best regards,
David
