Once again todoist does not open in outlook

IG

Hello,

Last week I downloaded todoist, and it was not opening up in outlook. When I followed your advise, I went into the tools, trust center, and add-ins, and clicked on todoist, and that opened it up perfectly. But after restarting my computer, it is once again not opening up. Each time I go into the trust center it is once again unclicked and I reclick it, and then OK, and nothing happens. I lose outlook and open it again and still no todoists.

Help!
:-)

OK, somehow it got into the disabled add-on category, because it said outlook detected that it would make outlook run improperly.

??

So I enabled it again, and now all is good in the world. :-)

I don't know how that happened, and hopefully it doesn't happen again next time I close outlook and open it again, but if it does, I'll be back for support!

On my system the Todoist add-in for Outlook NEVER runs when Outlook is started after a system restart (at least once per day). I have to go into the Trust Center and check it again - every time! This is a real shame since Todoist is a great app and I'd love to upgrade to professional. At this point though I feel more and more annoyed each day...

Has this been acknowledged as a bug and is it being worked on?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Outlook 2007
both fully updated

Hello Lucy,

please try disabling User Account Control (set it to "never notify") in the Control Panel.

Best regards,
David

Hi David, Thanks for you reply.

User Account Control has always been disabled. So that can't be it.

where do we disable user account control? You mean in Outlook, or is that part of todoist?

Can any todoist reps tell us whether this is a common problem?

Thks,

Hello Inger,

the User Account Control is a system option (accessible through the Control Panel) in Windows 7.

We've had some reports about this issue in the past, but unfortunately, we can't reproduce this issue. We will continue to try to identify it and fix it in future revisions of our Outlook plugin.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,
Is there somewhere I can upload or email a screenshot for you to see? It shows how Todoist is listed in my Trust Center and I think it might provide clues as to what's going wrong.

Lucy,

you can send me a screenshot to david@doist.io

Also, we have just released a new version of our Outlook plugin, in which all issues we were able to reproduce have been fixed. Please go to the Control Paned -> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall "OutlookTodoist", then re-download the plugin from http://todoist.com/outlook , re-install it and let me know if you still experience this issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David
