Mobile reminder test does not work
I'm trying to test the mobile reminders, and I'm not receiving anything. I'm on the Rogers Wireless network, and have entered my mobile phone number without the country code (but with the area code).
Any idea what's going on here?
Update: I tried sending an actual reminder for a task, and it also failed to send. This is the #1 reason I purchased a paid subscription, so I hope we can get it working.
please try different combinations including the country and/or area code, for example:
with and without the area code.
Thanks, David. It works now. However, the text messages I get simply say "You have mail from firstname.lastname@example.org. Please reply with 'Read' to read your message."
Is there a way to simple get the reminder without needing to reply to this message each time? As it stands, it's kind of a mystery reminder, and replying to see the real deal several times a day is going to get annoying.
I've figure out that it's Rogers' terrible service that is doing this, and it has nothing to do with you guys. Thanks, anyway!
indeed, this is a feature from your mobile provider and I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we have no control over it.
According to your provider's offer for the "Email to Text" service, you can subscribe to a "$5 Email to Text Direct Delivery Option" which apparently will no longer show warning messages before you receive emails via SMS ( http://www.rogers.com/web/content/add-ons/text-messaging Fun with Text -> Email to Text). Please contact your provider for the full details.
My carrier is AT&T, and I'm using an iPhone 4 with iOS 5 - I have tried every permutation and no texts....any ideas?
if you're sure you're using the correct time zone in Todoist, you've chosen the correct location and have tried the different ways of including your country code and it still doesn't work, please send me your phone number to email@example.com and tell me - what's your location.
