security certificate problems

I believe that the user's problems with the android app just mentioned are related to my problems.

I'm getting a message on one of my android todoist apps (yes, I have more than one) that the security certificate is not from a trusted source. My android phone won't let me access todoist with any of the todoist apps, and the security certificate seems to be the problem.

I can access todoist on my android browsers, but I have to tell the browsers to ignore the warnings about the security certificate (not from a trusted source). This is somewhat disconcerting.

Can you 1) allay my concerns about the source that issued the certificate and 2) (if you can allay my concerns) tell me how to have android accept the certificate as trusted.

Hello Duane,

first of all, I can assure you, we're using a genuine valid certificate from GeoTrust, Inc. http://www.geotrust.com/ which provides a 256-bit encrypted SSL connection.

We are very sorry for this issue, we are aware of it and, according to the developer of one of the third-party applications, it is not an issue with the certificate itself, but with some older mobile operating systems which may not recognize the newest certificate.

According to the developer of TiskTasks: http://todoist.com/Support/showQuestion/651/ it seems that Android 2.3 shouldn't have any issues with this certificate, unlike Android 2.2.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience, we will try to solve this issue.

As for the mobile site http://todoist.com/m please tell me:
- Which browsers are you using?
- Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies?

Also, most browsers should have an option co refresh certificate status or even delete particular certificates which could also help as the browser would be forced to download the latest version of the certificate.

Hi Duane,

I've verified that the new certificate works on my Android 2.2 device. It should work for you now as well.
