Can I mark off a task as missed?

E

Can I mark off a task as missed? Sometimes a task can only be done on a certain day and I would like to keep a record if I was or wasn't able to do a task on any given day. Is this feature available or can it be made available?

Many thanks

Hello Eddie,

thank you for the suggestion, we appreciate it and will consider adding such feature in future development.

For now, you can skip a recurring overdue task without it being marked as completed by pressing and holding the Ctrl key, then selecting one or multiple tasks and choosing "Update date" from the blue menu bar at the top of the screen which will appear once you start selecting tasks this way.

This option will postpone the task's due date to the next available date according to its recurrence formula.

This is what I used to do for daily tasks, UNTIL the multiple-task selection became "Postpone" instead of "Update date". Now, "Postpone" sets the next occurrence of the task to the NEXT day AFTER today. So, if I miss three days of updating my daily tasks, but I still want to do it today, my only choice is to click the task and refresh the page three times to get it to be scheduled for today. Any longer than three days, and it’s easier to just edit the task and reset the schedule.

Hello Alan,

thank you for your feedback. Indeed, the "postpone" function sets the due date to the next available occurrence of a task.

We will consider adding a feature which will set the due date to the most current date event including "today".

For now, as a workaround, please note - you don't have to refresh the page upon checking off recurring overdue tasks. You can access the project in which the task is placed and simply click on the ckeckbox multiple times.

Thanks for the workaround note; that would be an improvement over refreshing. Thanks!
