Is it possible to undo marking a task complete?

BC

The android app strangely check the box to mark some tasks complete and I couldn't get it to leave them unchecked. So now I have completed tasks I would like to make active again. I don't see any way to do that. Is there a way to "undo" marking something as complete?

To clarify, I'm now using the web UI. I can view the completed tasks, but I can't see a way to "uncheck" them.

Hello Bridget,

please log into your Todoist account through the todoist.com website (using your computer), access the project from which you want to un-check some tasks, use the "Show completed tasks" option and you should be able to un-check them from there.

If this doesn't work on your computer, please clear your browser cache. If this doesn't help either, tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Does this issue also occur in a different browser?

Completed all the steps you suggested and I don't have that option either. I tried Chrome Firefox and IE, latest and greatest versions, to no avail.

Hello William,

please tell me:
- Which Android application are you using?
- If this application uses a manual sync, have you synced your tasks with Todoist?

Best regards,
David

Not using mobile. Just talking about the desktop version of the site, or the Chrome extension.

Thanks.

William,

you should have this option at the bottom of every task list when viewing it within any project.

Here are some videos which show how this option should work:

1. Un-checking a completed task right after marking it as completed:
http://screencast.com/t/u4yuLfSoT

2. Un-chacking a completes task after switching to a different project and then using the "Show completed tasks" link:

Please tell me:
- Do you see this link in your account?
- If you do, what happens exactly if you try to click on it?

Best regards,
David

I have the same problem, Check one task as done, and then 7 more tasks from other project went done.

I could undo the checked one, but I am not able to uncheck the seven others.

I need help.

Hello Miguel,

please watch the short videos posted above and enter the project in which the particular task has been completed, click the "Show completed task" and uncheck them as shown in these videos.

Note - if you check off tasks from the 7 days view and the task is a main task containing sub-tasks, they will all be marked as completed. However, they must be sub-tasks within the same project. Please confirm if that's the case as checking off one task should never complete others if they're not in the same projects.

Best regards,
David

It would be great if a checkbox appears. The problem is that for those tasks the checkbox do not appear.

Miguel,

I've posted the videos in my response right above your first post (the Screencast links).

Please try to clear your browser cache and restart your browser and if this doesn't help, please tell me: have you used an asterisk * in front of the tasks that don't show a check box in the "Show completed tasks" list?

Best regards,
David
