moving items to history automatically setting

F

Is there a way/setting to have items move automatically to history after they are ticked done, instead of selecting each one and moving it, takes so much time.

Hello Frank,

each completed task should be automatically moved to the "completed items" section unless it's a sub-task (in which case the whole structure will be moved once the main task is completed) or a recurring task.

If this doesn't work for you, please tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Does this issue also occur in a different browser?
- From which view are you trying to complete the task (project view, search result etc.)?
- Are you accessing Todoist directly through the website or through a plugin (if so - which one)?

Best regards,
David

I use *Project name for the header so there is no tick for it

I guess I can't use that if I want to have it move to completed task or is there?

Hello Frank,

except for the task without the check-box, tasks below it will be moved to history when checked off, but only if you don't indent them, otherwise they will all be treated as sub-tasks of the *task.

You can use the asterisk just to indicate a separate "project" and add the other tasks below it all at level 1 (or at least the first one directly under it). This way they will be moved to history automatically (once done).

David
