API: Recurring Format

T

The Todoist website accepts the following string: "every 7,21"

However, the API returns a 500 error when this string is sent to the updateItem method.

Is this format supported by Todoist? How should API clients handle this format?

Hello Thaddeus,

unfortunately, this is not a correct date format. All available date formats are listed here:

Will the website be fixed to not allow this date format? It currently accepts it, so when API clients attempt to maintain the value, they receive the 500 error.

Hello Thaddeus,

thank you for your input, we will consider either adding support for more date formats or disabling the possibility of adding anything that isn't on the list.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Hello Thaddeus,

the issue with accepting the above date has been fixed. From now on Todoist will treat "every 7, 21" as an invalid date.

Best regards,
David
