How do Email Attachments Work?

MM

If I send an email to my project and it has an attached file that needs to be referenced, where does that attachment go?

Hello,

unfortunately, you can't store attachments on Todoist and therefore if you'll send an e-mail with an attachment to your project, the attachment will be discarded.

Nonetheless, thank you for the suggestion, we appreciate it and will consider adding such feature in future development.

Feel free to post this as a feature request in our Votebox:
https://todoist.com/Vote/

For now, if you work in a team and would like to be able to attach files to tasks, please try Wedoist.com (although the attachment feature has a limited functionality there and does not include sending attachments via e-mail either).

Best regards,
David

David, I cannot find this item in the Voting section. I too would LOVE for attachments to be stored, at least until the task is complteted.

Another significant flaw discovered during first day of trial. If email has attachment - it should be naturally transferred to the attached file in task. Instead of it is discarded. Still I can upload it from computer?? Where is logic in that? Such huge potential in todoist missed...

Big F folks for not allowing attachments to go with email. NOZBE definately has that option, they are a bit more costly but not much difference. May decide to go with them now since that is a feature I can't live without. Come on guys it makes sense to allow that to happen>>>

Yes, I agree here, but in my workflow, Tony, I use gmail as my main source and the Todoist for Gmail plugin. What I do is simply create a "task" in Todoist right there from my email and then link the email to Evernote at the same time As a third step you COULD copy the link from Evernote into the notes/comments of the task. I can't test that because I'm not premium, but it sounds like it MIGHT work.
