Me too - what's going on???
Im glad I am not alone. I need this to be fixed. I really rely on this site
What's going on? My tasks are gone too. Good thing I didn't buy the service yet!
My tasks are gone for all my projects, but the numbers beside each of the projects are still there. This leads me to (hopefully) believe that the tasks are there but a bug has temporarily made them invisible. Todoist was offline for me for a while earlier today, so I'm hoping they are just having some temporary issues. If not, I've got big problems :-(
Not the first time, either. Hopefully support will let us know when our tasks will be back up.

Me three. Ugh. Agony. Argh!
I found all mine had been checked off as completed, so now i went through and un-checked them each and they're back. But what a pain!
Mine is gone. I haven't seen any in completed, but I am going to check right now. I hope I can remember all the 60+ items I need to reopen.
we've recently experienced an outage followed by corruption issues with our database, which has marked all your tasks as completed and therefore they have been moved to the archive (see -> "Get completed tasks" at the bottom of the task list).
Please be aware, that none of your data has been lost. We are currently working on restoring all your tasks and projects and we will then merge them with any other tasks you've created recently so the will be no missing data at all.
We're very sorry you've experienced this issue, we assure you, we'll do everything to prevent such issue from happening in the future.

After going through the trouble of unchecking all my "incomplete" tasks that were marked as "complete", I wish that no further action is done to my lists.
unfortunately, we will have to restore the complete database for all users, but we will then update it with any changes that have been made since the time of the backup, so even if you've already restored everything manually, it will have no affect for you as even all current events will be included in the restoration process.
Can you give us a timeframe as to when this will be done?
We really rely on these tasks!
this issue has been fixed in July 2011. If you can't access your tasks right now, please log out of Todoist, clear your browser's cache and offline storage, reload the browser and go directly to todoist.com (not through a bookmark) and log back in.
If this won't help, please tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in a different browser?
I have following the cache clearing and logging in and out instructions and 3 sets of projects tasks have completely disappeared. I only have Internet Explorer on my Windows 7 computer.
if would be very helpful if you could try to reproduce this issue in a different browser (Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome) to check if it's a browser-related issue.
Also, please tell me - are you using Internet Explorer 9? When did this issue occur for the first time?
Okay - I've tried accessing Todoist through Google Chrome and we still have the same issues where some of our projects have the tasks that should be there and three of the projects have zero tasks when they should have quite a few.
I am using Internet Explorer 9.
there's been an issue in the past days which has affected storing changes made to the task list. It has been fixed by now, buy unfortunately, the unsaved changes cannot be retrieved. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Please tell me - did you rearrange the affected tasks in the past days? If the current view the same as it was a couple of days ago?
Also, are any tasks missing or are they only moved to different projects?
Sorry but I don't remember when I made these types of changes. I have made quite a few additions and changes over the past few days.
Many of the projects appear to be intact. There were 3 projects though that had approximately 8-12 tasks each in them. These 3 projects are still there however ALL of the tasks have disappeared. It would be very helpful if they can be restored.
we're very sorry for the inconvenience. If these tasks have been created exactly in the timeframe in which the issue occurred, it might unfortunately not be impossible to recover them.
To make sure that this isn't an issue with the full Todoist web-app, though, please try to access the mobile site http://todoist.com/m and see if the task appear there. Note - you can access this site through a regular browser on your desktop PC.
