Tasklist refuses to load after failing save of changed task

SP

I was restructuring my todos, eliminating a subtasklevel, when the online app of todoist threw an error. On the screen a info-box told me, that todoist was not able to save the changes of the task. I retried to save the change assuming that the db might have been unavailable, the error showed up again. After reloading the page the application seems to break, the todolist is not shown at all, the website does not load completely (at least logo and css is missing).

How can I (can you) recover the state of the todoist-list before the first error occured?

Additional info:
The error console within firefox says:
a) Loading is not defined
b) AmiTooltip is not defined
c) isHttps is not defined
d) initTodoist is not defined

Probably just errors that occur since todoist was not able to load scripts, I guess the initial error leading to this state throw way before...

Hello Sven,

I'm sorry, but unfortunately, we won't be able to recover your tasks.

In order to identify the issue and prevent it from happening again, please go to Tools -> Advanced -> Network tab. If you see todoist.com on the lists of sites that have stored data for offline use, select it and click "Remove".

Also, clear your browser cache and/or force-reload the page using Ctrl+F5.

If none of it helps and you continue to experience this issue, please tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Did you install any new plugins lately?
- Are you accessing Todoist directly or through a plugin/add-on?
- Does the issue also occur in other browsers?

Best regards,
David

Hello David,

I tried everything you mentioned above. No effects.

First some system details:
- OS: Debian
- Browser: Iceweasel 3.5.13 (which actually is firefox)
- Quite some AddOns, no new installations - but possibly of updates. I am not sure about this since updates are provided by system administrators

Access: Directly via web-interface
alt. Browsers: unfortunately I have no other browser available an no install rights to check it out... might check later from my home office...

I realized that there was another bug report adressing the same problem. It was written just 2 minutes before mine... Could be a server error thast influenced online users?

When openen todoist overview the site loads extremely slow, other websites seem to perform normally. In the Overview all projects are shown with correct number of tasks, once entereing a project loading of tasks, css, js, ... fails.

Sorry for multiple replies with same body... Trying to send the reply showed an 504-Gateway timeout error, so I tried to resend encountering the same problem once more.

Anyways, the lost-task issue seems to be global following other threads and your information. I wonder why "loosing" tasks and the web interface load-problem started at the same time. The moment my approach to save a task failed was when the problems with loading the web interface started. There still might be some connection between the two issues.

Ok, just retried your solution-approach, cleaning cache, deleting local data and so on, seems to work now after you merged the backup data. Fixed, works for me now, I hope the indicators within this still have some value when trying to analyze the reasons for the db-inconsistencies ;)

thx,
