Recurring tasks can't be checked off

TF

I'm not sure why, but using Chrome (12.0.742.122) on Mac OS X 10.6.8, the in-progress symbol just keeps spinning in place of the checkbox when I try to check off an overdue recurring task. If I reload the page, the task remains in place as unchecked.

Hello Theo,

this issue usually occurs if you use a wrong due date, which has not been mentioned here:
https://todoist.com/Help/timeInsert

Please tell me exactly what due date are you using for this task and from which view are you trying to check it off.

Best regards,
David

Hi -- thanks for the quick response. It was in this form:

every other Sunday starting Aug 7

except that the date was July 24, so it was showing up as due on this past Sunday. I was trying to check it off from the Today or This Week view (I think I've had problems in both -- this wasn't the first time I had the problem).

Hello Theo,

unfortunately, this form is not supported.

If you want to set up a task recurring every 2 weeks, please use the following form:

every 14 days starting 23. Jul 2011

or

every 14 days starting 6. Aug

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Oh, OK. It doesn't give me an error, and it's very much like one of the example forms ("every other day starting 2. nov") -- it might make sense to warn that "every other" doesn't work with weekdays? Or is that not the problem?
