Hello,

you can cancel a Premium subscription in the Preferences -> Todoist Premium.

If you wish do completely delete your account, please go to Preferences -> Account and click "Delete my Todoist account".

please, can you describe more in detail how to switch from Premium to Free (no deletion of the account)?
Is this done via PayPal? Or is there something to click on?

Hi David,

the first link you mentioned seems to have no such function to cancel the monthly or yearly payments (which repeat after the monthly or yearly period!).

But within Paypal I now recognized that there is an Abonnement active, which I can cancel under "Details".

Would be perhaps a good service to give more information on your page, how this works with up- and downgrading and when an Abo needs to be canceled to not pay the next period (important for yearly payments).

I don't want to cancel my account but my boss started an account yesterday that she wants to cancel and that is the account that needs the refund. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT.

To receive a refund, please send us the order reference ID (or transaction ID if PayPal was used) to david@doist.io preferably using the email address of the account that should be refunded.

I would like to cancel my Premium account. I actually tried to do this last summer, but it did not seem to work. Can you please confirm whether I am still a Premium member, and whether I will be charged when my account expires in September?

Hi Julla,

You are indeed still a Premium user. Our subscriptions to Todoist are not automatic if you paid by credit card. If you paid by PayPal, head to your Recent Activity with PayPal and find Todoist, from there you can cancel the subscription.

Thanks Brendon. I'm not seeing anything for Todoist since something was canceled in 2011, so perhaps I paid with credit card. It's a little odd, since I tried to cancel last year and am still a Premium account -- I seem to remember going into PayPal to try and cancel.

Julla,

As long as you do not find any subscription with us in PayPal no payment should be made. If you want, I can remove the Premium from your account now, but it should go inactive on September 9th 2013, but note, even if it were to continue for some reason, payment still should not be able to be made without manually doing so.

How can I cancel my free account if I signed up using my Google Account? Cancelling the account requires your current password, but my current Google password doesn't do the trick. Please help.

how do i cancel? your cancellation process is quite convoluted. i was charged after a trial and I don't want to use it. i just saw the charge on my account. please tell me how to get a refund before i contact my credit card company and go through their dispute process. you should make this easier on people. seriously.

Hello Thomas,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but it's not possible that you can get charged after the trial. We never ask you for your credit card information, the trial simply activates Premium for 30 days and then expires. The only possibility to get charged is going manually through the paying process.

If you wish to get your payment refunded, please send us the order reference ID. If you've used PayPal - the transaction ID and then cancel the payment subscription directly on PayPal as again, we have no option to place charges or subscriptions on our end.

I need to cancel my account also, I want to make sure I don't get charged again next year as I'm not using this anymore.

I just paid for the premium service, but it's missing some feature critical for me.

Hello Shawn,

If you've paid using our direct credit card payment method then you won't be charged again next year. If you've paid through PayPal or the PlayStore then you must cancel the recurring payment subscription directly on your PayPal/PlayStore account.

If you wish to receive a refund, please send us the order reference ID of your payment. We would also greatly appreciate if you would let us know which features you were missing in our app.

Finally, to delete your Todoist account, please go to Settings (top-right corner) -> Account and use the "Delete my account" link at the bottom.

I like to request a refund. The reason is, besides the very usefull interface, I miss some need functionality that I found in other tools. And I prefer local storage and import/export functions that makes possible to easily switch to other ToDo tools.

1. I can't separate the icalendar link per project unlike in remember the milk where i can have a separate calendar link for each project or list
2. I can't create sublabels

I submitted several comments about issues and dislikes with the new version of Todoist. To date, none of them have been resolved. If they are not, I would like to request a refund. Sadly the new version is so much worse I will abandon after using Premium for over a year.

Hi,

If you signed up with Google, you would not have a password. Sign into your account, and in the same location where you Delete an account, you can add a password to your account (under Account) and then enter that when deleting it.

I would not suggest trying to delete it unless you are sure.

Hello Sue,

If you've paid through our site using a direct credit card payment, then you don't even have to cancel anything at all as it's not a recurring payment.

If you've paid through PayPal and PayPal have set a recurring payment subscription, then cancelling it can be done only on your end by logging into your PayPal account as it's an outgoing payment that only you can stop.

Same as with PayPal applies to the PlayStore - they have their own settings and you can manage your PlayStore account and subscriptions on it directly.
