Why do some tasks appear on Google calendar and some don't?
I just added Todoist to my Google Calendar following your instructions. Five of my tasks appear on the calendar on their due date (as they should).
Seven of my tasks do not appear, though. I cannot determine any differences in these tasks. They were all entered in the same fashion.
were these seven not appearing tasks added after you've added Todoist to your Google Calendar?
If so, please note that the Google Calendar doesn't sync immediately with Todoist and unfortunately there's no way to configure when these syncs occur (once a day, usually). Hopefully we can resolve this issue in future development.
If that's not the case, please let me know which browser you're using and if you have tried unsubscribing Todoist from Google Calendar and re-adding it.
I'm also having this issue. It'd be great if there were a way to manually sync. Any ideas on timeframe of when syncs can start to occur more than once a day?
It would also be nice if tasks would disappear from the calendar once checked off. Otherwise, the calendar becomes very cluttered.
I tried unsubscribing the calendar and then readding it. Didn't fix the problem. I still have the same limited set of tasks appearing, with most of the others not appearing.
please tell me:
- Do the not appearing tasks have something in common (like - they're all priority 2, they're all recurring, they're all in 1 project, they're all sub-tasks or overdue etc.)?
- Did you experience this issue before? If not, when did it began to occur?
Also, please keep in mind that only tasks with due dates will appear in your calendar.
I can't find anything that they have in common, except this: they are all tasks I set up on the first day that I set up my account and linked it to Google -- about a week ago. Nothing I've added in recent days has appeared on my Google calendar.
They all are the same priority level, they are all for different projects, and they all have due dates.
Thank you for this information, it may indeed have something to do withe the irregular sync of the Google Calendar.
Please try to go to your calendar Setting and click "Unsubscribe", then re-add the iCal feed again and wait a couple of seconds (or a minute) for it to completely sync.
I've already tried that. It didn't change anything.
So far, I've been able to reproduce the issue of not seeing tasks right after adding them which is caused by the lag in syncing the iCal feed, but re-adding it, makes all tasks appear.
Please try to check "Make the calendar publicly accessible?" when adding it.
If you have Outlook, please try to use the calendar there and tell me if it works.
Also, are you using Google Apps or the regular free https://www.google.com/calendar/ site?
ToDoist just does not update - I refresh both ToDoist and Calendar and nothing changes!
Until the synching of this app is sorted out, it's going to hinder take up in my view.
Please, please find a solution to this problem.
please tell me - what calendar software are you using? Unfortunately, the Google Calendar refreshes the iCal feed only once a day and we have no influence on this as it depends on Google's setup.
I am indeed using Google. That's a real shame as until the refresh rate is improved, I can't really use it.

One of the reasons I PAID for the premium version was to get google calendar synching -- and it only does it ONCE per day? there was nothing about that in the promotions! What is the status of this process?
We're sorry for the inconvenience, this is unfortunately how Google are setting up their servers and there's nothing we can do about it at this point.
We are of course looking into other alternative ways of calendar integration, but even though our iCal feed is updated immediately, if Google will not refresh it more often than once a day, we'll have to find a completely different calendar integration method just for Google which we'll look into.
