How can I have my projects/tasks show on my iPhone's Calendar?

I used Astrid in the past and I was able to have my tasks show on my iOS calendar on my iPhone. Is there anyway I can do this with Todoist? This is the only feature lacking that drives me crazy. Otherwise I love this app.

Best regards,

Tom

Hello Tom,

Yes, it's possible by subscribing to an iCal/CalDAV feed. You can find your unique calendar feed URL in Todoist's Settings (at the bottom of the general settings).

Thanks David. I've tried that before and it doesn't appear to work. I'm using iCloud as I can't use iCal and I think that is the problem. I can easily do it with Outlook and Google Calendar but I want it on my iCloud calendar so I can see my projects on my iPhone. Of course I could be doing it all wrong and will try again. Best regards-Tom

Tom,

Please clarify - you're using iCloud because you have to and that's why you can't subscribe to a separate calendar on your iPhone?

If not, you don't need to use iCloud and can add Todoist's feed separately by going to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account -> Other and then "Add Subscribed Calendar".

Best regards,
David

Hi Nigel,

The data is stored on our hosting provider: Amazon Web Services. For more detailed information about AWS' security please visit this page: http://aws.amazon.com/security/

Thanks,

Keith,

If you head to your Todoist account (todoist.com) and at the top right click on the gear icon, Settings. From that new pop-up, there is a iCal Feed URL. Copy this, and then Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account -> Other and then "Add Subscribed Calendar".

Nothing else should be needed.

Brendon

Thank you Brendon. iCal Feed URL download worked seamlessly for my Outlook 2010. I now have my regular Cloud calendar and a 2nd Calendar showing all tasks. Will this Calendar show up on my iPhone 5, as well?

Gary,

If they are only added to Outlook, then no. For iOS you need to add it to the default calender on the phone, or add it to your iCloud calender.

Brendon.
