Tasks not syncing

PG

I use your product on my PC, iPad, and iPhone.

Tasks are not in sync across these devices.

I have a task still showing on mobile devices that was marked competed on PC.

Please help!

Thanks

I have logged out and logged back in on the mobile devices. That didn't help.

Hi Paul,

Please clarify, the completed task on PC shows up on the mobile as not completed, or is completed by not disappearing? Please try logging out of all devices, and back in again.

Also, make sure that your desktop, mobile devices and Todoist.com's settings are all on the same timezone as well.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Yes, it shows on mobile devices as not completed.

I did log out of them.

Hello Paul,

Please try to delete and reinstall our app. If the issue persist - does completing the task via mobile work or does the task reappear after you check it off there as well?

Best regards,
David

Just reinstalled on the iPad.

The task came back!

Paul,

This is very strange. If the task is completed and you can't see in on any other platform, then it's not on our server anymore. Therefore, it could only be within the app's cache, but if reinstalling the app, which also clears its cache, still causes the task to show up, then I'm unsure what can cause this.

Are you certain that this task is not visible on the web or any other platform (different browser) or when searching for it on the web or uncompleting and then completing it again?

Best regards,
David

Yes, I checked it in chrome and firefox and on the PC app.

And it would still be on the mobile devices. It's gone now. But I had to mark it complete on each device.

And it showed back up today after the reinstall.

It is a recurring task.

Paul,

A recurring task will never be truly completed unless you check it off on the web while holding the SHIFT key.

So, to clarify - you see it on the web moved to the correct date, but only on the iPad it still has the old date? In that case, what's the exact due date of this task?

Best regards,
David

Yes, on the mobile devices it shows that the task is 3 days old.

I just logged out and logged back in on my Mac at home.

And the task is back!

Paul,

What was the exact due date for this task? Also, what is the version of iOS you are running?

Have you tried deleting the task on the mobile device, or just completing?

Regards,
Brendon.
