Hi,

Which version of iOS are you using? Are you jailbroken? Is it only when editing, or when adding as well?

Thanks,
Brendon

7.0.3 iPad
Not jailbroken.
Just when editing.
But app is closing in many cases.

Please try logging out and back in again, let me know if that resolved it.

Thanks,
Brendon.

7.0.3 iPad
Not jail broken.
App usually closes when editing a note.
Logging out and back in again did not help.

Obviously I delete app and redownkoad it. It helps for while.

I too deleted the app and re downloaded. It had no effect. Let's face it, this is a bug that Todoist will need to fix.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce this issue so far. Please tell us:
- Does the note contain any special characters?
- In what view are you when you're editing the note (date-based, label, filter, project)?

Also, if there's any way you can reliably trigger this issue every time you follow certain steps, please let us know.

Best regards,
David

I was in the project view with the edit note box open. I've taken a screenshot but I don't know how to attach it to this reply. If you could give me an email address, I will be happy to send the screen shot to you

Richard,

So to clarify, you have to be within a project view for this to happen?

Thanks,
Brendon.

No. I only mentioned that I was from within a project for you because you had asked. I just attempted to edit the same note from within

No. I only mentioned that I had been within a project view because you had asked what view I was using when it occurred. I just attempted to edit the same note from within a labels view and had the same outcome.

Richard,

I'll pass this to the developers, however so far we couldn't reproduce this issue and make the app crash upon attempting to edit a note.

David

Hi,

I have a similar problem too when I add a new note. Running todoist on the iPad. To simulate the issue:

1. Add a new note
2. Type something and press 'return'
3. Nothing happens during this time, then dismiss the keyboard and try to edit the note again.

When this is done the app crashes. Hope this information helps.

Ram,

Thank you very much for your report, now I can reproduce this issue too and I've passed it to the developers.

I have noticed this behavior on my iPad, also and can add to the description. The note closes if you attempt to edit the end of the note. That is, in edit mode, if you tap the end of the note to append, the note closes, or if you move the cursor to the end of the note (with an external keyboard) the note closes. In both cases, any edits since you last saved the note are lost.
However, if you tap into the middle of the note, and don't go to the end, you can edit fine.
Also, when you create a note, you have no cursor (blinking red vertical bar). But when you reopen a note for editing and tap into the note anywhere but the end of the note, or if you move the cursor back from the end of the note (with an external keyboard), the blinking cursor appears.
