Push notifications not working on iOS?

Hi,

i upgraded to premium yesterday. Trying to get the reminders feature to work. It does not. Todoist correctly sees my devices, but push notifications do not arrive.

1) I removed and reinstalled Todoist from one of the devices (iPhone). No change.

2) I looked to see if there was anything funny in the Message Center settings (Berichtgeving, hope it's called Message Center in English!)

3) on both devices, push notifications from other applications show up just fine. So it's not a general problem with push notifications, it is specific to Todoist.

Hello Jeff,

Please log in through the web at https://todoist.com go to Settings -> Reminders (top-right corner) and check if all your devices are listed there.

Even if they are, please remove them all, then reinstall the app, log back in (making sure you're using the same login credentials, but also the same login method) and add one test task through your iPhone and sync (pull down the task list).

If this won't help either, please tell me - how exactly are you adding the reminder and what exact due date and time are you using with it?

I did exactly as you said. still does not work, although your last step seems superfluous to me -- if the "send a test message" does not work (from the Reminders settings menu) then I should not expect the push messages from tasks themselves to show up, either?

In any case, neither "send a test message" nor trying a push notification reminder from a task works. I set the reminder to

tod at 15:40

in the web interface, following the examples. Note as well, if I switch to "email notifications" then it works fine. So it is really just a problem with push notifications.

We had some issues with our certificate. It should be resolved and everything should be fully operational again.

Great! Thanks. btw i have a feature request, it's the one thing that I really find "missing" from Todoist ... where would I send that? As another "question" on this board?

I am doing a trial switch from Things (on Mac/iPhone) to Todoist, because Things was missing *2* things and you guys appear to only be missing the one :-)

Hi Paulo,

Please confirm, you have tried all the suggestions above, uninstalled the app, removed any devices from Todoist.com/Settings and are still having issues?
