calendar sync with iphone without outlook etc

Hi hi to the team

Is it possible to sync the tasks from todoist to my iphone calendar without using outlook or so? I use the icloud calendar and it would be great if this is possible.

Thanks so far
Dirk

Hi Dirk,

If you head to Todoist.com and click on the gear icon in the top right corner, choose Settings. On that page, you will be able to grab (copy) an iCal feed URL. This feed should be able to be entered into almost any software calendar.

So you can then enter this into the iCloud calendar, and then it would sync with your iphone calendar.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

Thanks for this information and your help. I havent found the specific place to enter the iCal feed URL in the iCloud Calendar. So if you can give me a hint for this it would be great.
If not, which I would totally understand, I am gonna seen if the guys from apple/iCloud could give me an advice to this.

Have a great day,
Dirk

Dirk,

It's a bit more complicated than it needs to be but I think these instructions are what you are looking for. You need to add the iCal feed to iCal on your desktop.

To subscribe to an iCalendar feed using Apple's iCal program:

- Open the iCal program (in Applications)
- From the Calendar menu select Subscribe (usually on top)
- Paste the URL into the Calendar URL field then click Subscribe
- Follow the dialogs

You then should make sure calendar syncs with your iCloud account. The following link describes how to make sure you are doing so :)

Thanks,

Hi Brebdon

What if I don't want to use iCloud on the iPHone. Is there any other way?

Hi Saud,

You can also add the iCal Feed to your Google Calendar, and then sync that with the Google Calendar app on your iPhone, or with the calendar software already on it.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello Saud,

Additionally, you can simply use the iCal feed with your phone's calendar, there should be an option to "Add from internet" when creating a new calendar.

Best regards,
David
