Search function in new app?

CD

Just trying out the new iPhone and iPad app. Is there a search function? I can't seem to find it.

Hello Cliff,

There is currently no direct search option, but we will consider adding it in future updates and you're welcome to vote for it in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote_iOS/showProposal/31/

Best regards,
David

Hello Miguel,

Unfortunately, searching was also not available in the older versions of our iOS app, but we'll add it in future updates.

You can of course use filters to save queries through the app.

David

Also how do you show completed tasks on your phone?

Hello Lindsay,

We'll add search functionality to our app soon. Sorry for the delays.

If by sub-notes, you're referring to sub-tasks, please tap on "Add task" and then from the sub-task option on the task adding screen, select an indent level for the new task.

Completed tasks are not accessible through our mobile apps yet, but this will be added in future updates too.

Best regards,
David

Thanks for your reply. I do not mean sub task. I mean when I add a task, in the desktop version I can add notes within that task. I can view the ones I have already added on the desktop version, on he app and edit those also . However in the app if I try to add a note within a task I cannot. If there are no notes added and I click on the notes option it says, there are no notes for this task, but again does not give me the option to add. This is a huge feature and function but only seems viewable in the app?

Seems strange to exclude this major function from the app. Am I missing something?

Lindsay,

Thank you for clarifying - that's actually already available. If you go to the notes section of a task that doesn't have any notes and see the "No notes for this task" screen, look at the bottom of this screen and you'll see a field which you can tap and start typing a note into it. Then use "Send" to add this note.

Best regards,
David

When I enter tasks on my I phone it duplicates the tala identically. This doe not happen on every addition of a new task. Have you heard of this before?

Lindsay,

We did receive a similar report, but so far couldn't reproduce it. If you know what the exact circumstances required to trigger this issue are, please let us know and we'll be able to identify the cause of this issue. Does it always happen offline? Always if the task has a certain date?

Is there anyway to delete all filters at one time, or do I have to edit/ delete each one individually?

Lindsay,

Unfortunately you can't delete them all at once. The easiest way to delete them fast would be through the web: right-click -> left-click (on Delete) -> Enter.

David

Lindsay,

Did anything change today? Did you add any apps, or change any settings? Anything at all at the time this started crashing?

Regards,
Brendon.

Lindsay,

I'd suggest uninstalling it and re-installing (there should also be an update) and let me know if it persists.

Brendon.

There seems to be a major problem. I have taken two pictures. I have recreated the task but this happened with multiple tasks already in place.

Now something pertinent maybe be I have just returned from Europe where my phone was automatically switched to a different time zone but has since switched back.

As you can see from the pictures I am trying to set this task to pop up every Sunday, but it auto corrects immediately to Monday at 6.59pm.

In fact all of my tasks now have a time stamp of 6.59pm. However they are not all switch to the following day.

I hope you can advise. Thank you.

Hello Lindsay,

This indeed seems like a time-zone related issue. Please tell me - when you went to a different time zone, did you not only change the time zone on your phone, but also right-away in the Todoist app's Settings? And now that you've changed the zone again, did you also adjust it in Todoist's Settings?

If not, please do so. If you haven't done so upon the first change then at least older tasks may indeed unfortunately have incorrect dates and.or times :-(

Best regards,
David

I did not manually change the time zone at all, my iphone is automatically set to do so and now it is back on ET.

Does this mean if I travel out of my time zones all my old tasks are in correct and cannot be corrected. I have hundreds!!!
