Filter issue (I know, it persists)

Hi ToDoist Team,

I want you to know that I chose ToDoist over Things and OmniFocus, after much research, specifically because of how well your system (atleast the website) handles filtering labels.

I had (unfortunately) assumed that your iOS app would handle these labels, and filtering them, in the same way.

Imagine my surprise, shock, and disappointment, that the app does not have a clue how to filter labels.

I want to be clear how big an issue this is for me... This is mission critical. Everything I do depends on filtering labels.

I like your app, I like how it displays project names, labels, and due dates all at the same time.

But I need it to handle labels and filters the same way that the website does.

I hope this update happens soon. Like immediately.

Hello David,

This is indeed a bug in our current iOS app, but for the past months we've been working on a brand new and improved iPhone and iPad app and it will be released very soon. This app will of course fix this issue.

I just noticed something else related to sorting I'd like to ask about.

How are dates and times related to priority in terms of sorting the "today" list?

I have multiple tasks that have associated dates AND times that occur today.

If they are the same priority, shouldn't they be sorted by time? It doesn't seem like they are.

This would be a huge feature request.

Infact, I personally would prefer an option to sort tasks by date and time regardless of priority.

Hi David,

By default, all tasks in this view should be automatically sorted by due time first (so tasks that have dates such as "today at 12pm") and then by priority.

We do have an issue that we can't seem to figure out where this view "today" is randomly sorted, and seems to fix itself after a certain amount of time.

This is probably the same situation you are experiencing. From our experience so far, it should resolve itself. Please try logging out of the app and see if it helps.
