Reminders

I have Reminders defaulting to Mobile. All of a sudden when I am setting up a task with a reminder time, it is not working?
Other reminders I have had in place for while work OK, and when I send a test SMS, works OK, but is not working when I setup a new task: Example: Apr 22 2013 @7:30am

Hello Thom,

Please tell me - when you log into your Todoist account at todoist.com click on the gear icon in the top-right corner, go to Settings -> Reminders, do you have a default reminder method set? And if so - is it "mobile push notifications"?

Also, please try the following:
- Set the due date to: "Apr 22 @ 7:30am", that is - without the year and with a space between the @ sign and the time
- Set a task on the web, right-click on it, go to the reminders menu and check if a reminder has been set to it.
- Try to add a new test task and include <remind today at 9am> within the task's name (set the time to the near future)
and make sure that you're online at the time when the reminder should arrive.

Let me know if you get a reminder either to the old task or the new task.

Best regards,
David

When I log in, the mobile push notifications is set.

- Set the reminder as you have indicated, and when I check on reminder, it is not set?

- When I set as indicated above: remind me today at 11am - gave me an invalid date error.

Thom,

Please clarify - you've added a task with a due date "Apr 22 @ 7:30am" and you've used a due time that's at least 30 minutes into the future (the default reminder is "30 minutes before deadline"), synchronized the changes and the task does not have the reminder on the web?

Also, regarding the <remind today at 11am>, please note that there cant be a "me" there (it's just "remind" not "remind me") and this shouldn't be typed into the due date field, but into the task name. Please confirm if it works when you make these changes.

Best regards,
David

Getting confusing now between my Windows application and iPhone.
i did try remind me, in the task, on the iPhone, and that did not work.

For reminders to come over a a Text message on my iPhone, should the setting be set to SMS Notifications, or Mobil Push Notifications?

Thom,

Please note that the correct syntax for the in-task reminder is not "remind me" but just "remind". For example, instead of <remind me today at 2pm>, please type only <remind today at 2pm>. If you add "me" after "remind", it will not work.

Please let me know if it works without the word "me".

Also, for the reminder to arrive via SMS, you must set SMS notification and the Push Notification will result in a notification shown in the notification area of your phone. In case of SMS notifications, you must add your full phone number incl. country code in the settings at todoist.com.

So just to clarify - no push notification reminders work for you currently regardless of whether you use relative or absolute reminders? If so - can you see your phone listed in Todoist's Settings -> Reminders?

Best regards,
David
