Iphone app does not sync

P

The iphone application does not sync with my changes on the website. The application loaded all of my projects and tasks but with the wrong date (they were all pushed a day ahead). When I looked online the tasks had been pushed out a day as well. I updated all the due dates on the tasks back to what the original date. I then selected the sync function on the phone and none of the changes are reflect in my iphone app to match what I have online. I have a premium account as well.

Thanks.

I just marked a task complete on my iphone and it did update correctly to the online site. Interesting to note that the due date on the app was still different than the correct date I had set online. Nothing else synced between the app and online when the updated was completed.

Hello,

Please tell me:
- Do you have the same timezone set in Todoist, on your computer and on the iPhone?
- Were you in a different time zone while checking your tasks on the iPhone?

Also, please try to add one test task with a due time, for example: "today at 18:30" and let me know if and how much the time of it gets changed.

Best regards,
David

The due dates will not change when you change the time zone. In the upcoming update of our app, we'll introduce an option that will detect what time zone you're in and ask you if you want to adjust it so you'll set it up with just one tap.

Best regards,
David

My iphone is in pacific (current location)
My computer is in pacific (current location)
My timezone in Todoist was central timezome (home location)

- Were you in a different time zone while checking your tasks on the iPhone?
My timezone in todoist was different than on my iphone.

I went ahead an updated my timezone to pacific. All of the tasks then moved forward a day. I adjusted them back to the date I set originally. Everything is now synced appropriately.

I fly all over the country each week. Will I have to go into settings each time to update the time zone to match my phone. Also, with each time that I adjust the time zone will the due dates will then move around?

So now I am confused. Are the due date not supposed to change in Todoist when I change my time zone now or in a future version?

Because when I change the time zone now from central to pacific...the due dates change.

Unless a specific time is set the general due date should never change, or at least I should have an option so I can set it as a preference.

In the current version, if you travel between time zones you may indeed experience these issues and should always adjust the time zone on Todoist to the time zone on your device.

This is a known issue that the actual date may change when you travel, but this will be addressed in the new app and as long as you tap "yes" when asked if you want to adjust the time zone - this issue won't occur.
