Tasks not updated on iPhone

TH

All of a sudden, today, my tasks are not being updated on my iPhone. I have made changes on my PC that are not reflected on my iPhone. I have logged off, and back on, and also rebooted my iPhone.
Help!

Thank you,

Thom

Hello Thom,

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce this issue. Please try to delete and reinstall the iPhone app and let us know if the issue persist. Also, try to add a task on the phone, reload the web-app and see if the task shows up on the web.

Best regards,
David

OK, I entered a Task on my iPhone, which updated on the web-app, also, all the Tasks I deleted on the web-app that were on my iPhone came back on the web-app along with the new task I created.

Deleted the tasks from the web-app again, and this time they deleted from the iPhone.

What would cause this, and how can I avoid it in the future?

Thank you,

Thom

Hello Thom,

Possible causes of this issue could be:
- Using the web-app offline and not syncing it while in offline mode
- Incorrect time settings on either your computer or the phone which could cause wrong timestamps of the event of deleting a task (our system synchronizes the changes made based on when they were made in the correct order).

Please let us know if neither applies and you were always online when using Todoist and have correct time settings on all platforms.

We will look into this issue on our end as well, but please let us know if you can reproduce this issue. It would help us identify the source of it, if there's a way to recreate it when following certain steps.

Best regards,
David

Thank you for your response. There is no way of my knowing at this point if I was offline, or what the sequence was. Since this is the first time this has happened I am not going to worry about it. If it happens again, I will try and remember the steps.

Thank you,

Thom
