How can I move items from one project to another on the iPhone?

AF

The feature seems to have a bug in it. I change the desired item from one project to another on the drop down, but the item doesn't actually move projects. Is this a known bug, a new one, or user error?

Hello Adam,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue. These are the steps that need to be taken to move a task on the iOS app:
1. Tap on the task you want to move.
2. Choose "Edit".
3. Tap on the name of the project the task is in.
4. Choose a different project.
5. Save the changes with the check mark in the top-right corner.

Please tell me - did you followed these steps exactly?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

Is it possible I'm on the wrong version of the app.? I'm on 3.1. I tap on the task, but there is no explicit "edit" button to choose in the app. I am able to edit the task though. I can make any change to the task successfully *except* moving it from one project to another. When I change the project name in the drop down menu, I then click "Save". And the project just sits right in the same original project.

Thanks
A

Adam,

The latest version of our iOS app is 5.2 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/todoist-to-do-list-task-list/id572688855?mt=8 and this is a screenshot from it showing the "Edit" option after tapping on a task: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/c7b8dcb642cf5efed2b4d179835b25f7/as/Todoist_iOS.PNG

Please install the latest version of our app.

Best regards,
David
