label filter

I was looking for a simple way to filter for tasks which have no label. Currently the only way I have found to do so is to create a filter of

"!@label1 & @!label2 & !@label3..."

including each of the labels I have defined. Creating a filter of "no label" seems not to work. Is there a simpler mechanism which would allow me to create this filter and not update it if my labels expand or change over time?

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately, using the situation above as you listed it would be the only way to do at this time. We will of course consider adding a "no labels' option in the future.

Brendon.

Thanks Brendon! I'll continue with the workaround I have.

come on todoist, this was asked for in july last year (http://todoist.com/Vote/show/6108/)

I would like this as well. Since I cannot search on project, I use labels to fill that need. My use case is I like having a "Today" and "Next 7 Days" view for my contexts (work/home, etc). And while I'm working I like to see what is due in that context. Once I'm at home I like to see what needs to be done in that context. However I have no idea if I've forgotten to label some items.

Thanks

I Agree! - youve got to get off your backside todoist, i know there are not many decent Todo list apps for android (i So miss omnifocus on ipad/iphone) each "updated" version of the app is not really any different from the one before it, you risk being overtaken by the other up and coming task apps if you dont start adding basic functions, Diary, Dragging tasks into contexts, grouping contexts, and better filters, although the way you use filters is advanced i.e not user friendly it is actually very basic in what it will do!!!
