Why do some completed tasks reappear?

Hello,
Some of my completed tasks have started to reappear on my list.
Not only is it annoying, but it's making me doubt the benefits of Todoist.

Let me know and please don't say I should upgrade.

Hi Tim,

Are these recurring tasks?
Do you complete them on Android or the web?
Were you offline at anytime during the completion?

Have you tried logging out, clearing the cache for your apps/browser and logging back in?

Brendon, I've had this issue as well. Not just on Android... also on the web and in Outlook. These are not recurring tasks. In fact, a couple of them were deleted tasks. But I've also have the same completed task come back 2 or 3 times. There doesn't appear to be any commonality between the tasks that have reappeared.

Hi Chad,

For issues such as this that is seemingly random and not replicable, we need as much info as we can get. I understand that it might be difficult to recall all of the details but unfortunately, this is necessary step to find a permanent solution.

- were the tasks deleted from the web or mobile?
- does the tasks re-appear right after sync?
- where do you mostly notice them first (web, Android, Outlook plug-in)?
- how often do you get this problem (a rough estimate would be just fine)
- when did it start happening? just recently or is this an on-going thing from the start?

Deleted from mobile the first time, deleted in Outlook the second time.

No, it was over a week later.

I noticed them in the outlook plug-in

I've seen it 4 time since I got my premium membership. So a bit ongoing.

Did you change anything related to timezone or had timezone error/prompts show up when you had these tasks re-occur?

No, no timezone change or prompts. From Todoist or otherwise.

Chad,

I know it's a fairly large process, but I'd suggest sign out of each Todoist location. That is the web version, mobile, outlook etc. Clear the cache for your browser as well. Then try to sign back into it one by one.
