Is there any Android Calendar app that will show todoist tasks on it?

JK

In real time. I don't care about Google calendar. Any calendar app will do.

Hello Justin,

Although we can't recommend any particular app, pretty much any decent calendar app should support the iCal/CalDAV standard and therefore allow you to add our feed to it.

Hi David,

Thank you for your response. I may be being dense but I can't find an app that allows you to add the wecal url feed. I have tried the Samsung calendar, Jorte, Cozi, Business Calendar, and Digical.

I feel like I am missing something here. I just want my Todoist on my Android. Not looking for a recommendation, just something that works at all.

Justin,

After a quick search for "android calendar ical", I've found this forum thread with other users' recommendations: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1546369

Personally I don't use any calendar apps so I can't really recommend any :(

You've said you just want Todoist on Android so it doesn't have to be a calendar sync? If not, please install our official Todoist for Android app from https://todoist.com/android - it will give you access to your tasks anytime :)

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

Thank you for your help and researching this.

Yes, a calendar is what I am speaking of. I of course have to Todoist app.

I do not, however, have a Mac or an iCalendar.

So to be clear, it is not known at all, how to have Todoist tasks synced in real time to a calendar on an Android phone?

Justin,

iCal is a feed standard that we use. Apple also has software called "iCal" or "iCalendar", but that's something different and unrelated.

As I've mentioned, you can use Todoist with an Android calendar if the calendar app you use supports the iCal feed standard. Unfortunately, I'm not using any so I can't recommend any, but I'm sure there must be apps supporting the iCal feed.

Please try to Google "android calendar ical" and try out the apps you'll find this way.

Best regards,
David

I'm wondering about this. I use the Zooper widget, and like a number of other widgets, I think it uses the Android Calendar Provider API. In any case, when I specify Todoist as my calendar in Zooper, it doesn't show my todist todo's.

Hello Geoff,

Please tell me, do you import the calendar from our iCal feed and it doesn't show any error messages, but doesn't sync any data either?

Also, do you have tasks with due dates? Those without will not be synced.

Best regards,
David

Yes tasks have due dates.

The widgets don't have the ability to sync with iCal, as far as I can tell.

You might check out some of the clock/weather/calendar widgets available on Android. Zooper happens to be the one I use. I'm guessing they use the Android Calendar Provider API, not iCal.

Justin,
I use ICSSync for Android, then I can sync with Todoist ICS feed. You can use any calendar app
