Email links not working, why?

Why are the email links from Gmail not active? Is a problem of Gmail, of Android or of Todoist?

What is an workaround? To mark these emails in Gmail, so I can find them quicker on the mobile app?

Hi Gerwin,

If you are referring to the links back to your email within Todoist, then you need to open these links where they were created. If you created them with an extension for your browser for Gmail, they need to be opened in the same place.

We hope we can improve this in the future but this is required at this time.

Thanks,
Brendon.

So it is no problem of Gmail or Android, you can do it?

Hello Gerwin,

We're looking into this now, they indeed seem to be inactive.

Best regards,
David

Hello Richard,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, it's an issue caused by some differences between Gmail accounts (some contain differently structured URLs) and we're working on it now and will add full support for all URL types very soon.

Best regards,
David

Any news on this yet?
It looks like its getting closer to fill support, but still not taking me to specific email on Android, just the gmail Web browser inbox

Hello Norman,

This issue should be fixed by now in one of our earlier updates (as it's a report from October 2013).

If you're still experiencing an issue with email links, please describe how exactly does it occur and preferably, post one example link to a Gmail email (it won't give anyone access to your email so feel free to post it here).

Best regards,
David
