"Done" Push Notification Action (on expanded notification) marks task done; leaves in list

GS

When a Push Notification for a task pops up in my Android notification pane, if I touch the "Done" action on the expanded notification, the task will be marked as complete (text has strikethrough), but it will not be hidden from my task list in the widget or in the app.

I tried waiting two days for the task to fade, it continued showing in my task list. I tried un-completing the task and re-completing it the "normal" way (select and tap the check icon).

I have experienced this issue on more than one occasion. The only way I have successfully gotten the Android app/widget to stop displaying the completed task is to Delete the task.

The web app will hide the task, so I assume it's just an issue with the Android client.

I am using an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II running Android 4.1.2 .

Hello Gregory,

Please clarify:
- Is this a parent task or a sub-task?
- Which version of our app are you using?
- When you access the app, enter the project in which the task was completed, then change the project and then go back to the first one, is the completed task still displayed there?

Best regards,
David

It was a parent task.

Version 2.0.6

It was a task in my Inbox. When I accessed the app, by default I was looking at the Today view. I entered my Inbox and the task was hidden. When I returned to Today, the task was hidden. After exiting the app, the widget still showed the task, strikethroughed. I changed the widget view from Today to 7 Day and it hided.

Previously when this happened, I'm not sure if I toggled between the Project and Today, maybe only between Today and 7 Days. So, perhaps it's just a refresh thing?

Also, when attempting to recreate the issue, it seemed that tasks completed in this manner hided without delay while my phone was unlocked, but when accessing the notification pane on my phone while the phone was locked and completing a task seems to be the trigger for not hiding the item.

Meanwhile, I'll just use this workaround. If the problem occurs again, I'll report it on this thread.

I also experience this issue. I'm on 2.0.9 (android 4.3). It happens pretty frequently, and is pretty annoying.

Hello John,

Could you please confirm if it occurs under the same circumstances as what Gregory said, that is - if you complete the task after you unlock the phone, it's being removed correctly, but if you do it while the phone is locked, then it stays of the list?

Best regards,
David

I also have the same issue as John. For me, this issue occurs even with the phone unlocked.

Hello,

Please everyone, try removing the widget, clearing the data for the app and re-adding. Let us know if it continues to do so afterwards.

We are unsure why this would be happening and are having trouble re-producing.

Thanks,
Brendon.
